Digitization of industrial processes. Automation and control

    The digitization of industrial processes aims to improve their efficiency or effectiveness by analyzing the relevant data generated during the process, extracting the information in the least invasive way possible, and applying analytical techniques whose complexity can vary in function of the objective pursued.

    The process of digitizing machines and processes involves two key actions:

    • Identification of the parameters of interest of each machine / process in order to improve / optimize productivity [number of parts processed, machine stops, relevant process variables (temperature, speed, pressure, etc.), energy consumption, vibrations or other variables ].
    • Extraction of data from the machine controller (PLC) if it is accessible, and / or installation of the corresponding sensors (in the least invasive way possible) to capture the data of interest, through customized solutions.

    Once the data is available, in order for it to be converted into information that adds value to the company, it must be monitored and processed. To approach this action you can use:

    • A data visualization and analysis system typical of AIDIMME.
    • A commercial MES system.

    The decisions to be made in a company at any level require accurate and accurate information. The design and development of a set of indicators and reports that support daily management, both of the Management and of the Middle Management, requires selecting the information from various sources (Excel, Database, Internet Reports, etc.) and present it clearly and concisely.

Thanks to current technology, it is possible to know the operating status of any production equipment (or product with high added value) anywhere in the world, which provides differentiated value both to the manufacturer of the machine (or of the product) and to the user. .

In AIDIMME we collaborate with manufacturers of machinery and high added value products for the development of vertical applications on a cloud platform that allow exhaustive control over the state of operation of the machine / product, current and future maintenance needs, real productivity etc. In this way, the manufacturer of the machine / product can offer added value to its customers, with a minimum cost, providing a differentiated value to the market.

Technology platforms - interoperability

    AIDIMME works on the development and implementation of smart business platforms, for both B2B and B2C relationships, which collect, analyze and display content from social networks, blogs, specialized portals, etc., detecting content related to interesting products and services for the company in question, analyzing user opinions and feelings about keywords (hashtags), offering high value information.

    Since 2010, AIDIMME has worked in the development of quantitative and qualitative research to understand preferences at home. Regarding B2B These platforms allow to streamline business relationships between companies, and specifically in the Habitat sector We have the European NIMBLE platform that allows you to search for products, materials and services, locate suppliers, including logistics, negotiate with them and even place orders in an agile and direct way.

    At the interoperability level, the ISO 10303-236 standard, also called AP236 or standard funStep (“Industrial automation systems and integration - Product data representation and exchange - Part 236: Application protocol: Furniture catalog and interior design”) is one of the mechanisms that help the furniture industry in the globalization process. Electronic catalogs can be exchanged and understandable by management programs, while following a sector-specific ontology, led by AIDIMME.

Collaborative robotics

    The use of collaborative robots allows the automation of numerous manual operations that add little value to the process, or support the execution of tasks that are uncomfortable for people, or perform better quality control continuously and without the risk of fatigue. In general, collaborative robots can improve a manufacturing process in an economically viable way.

    Before carrying out this type of investment, AIDIMME proposes to do a proof of concept in the real environment where the robot would work, so that the company can evaluate both the possible technical difficulties and the economic viability of the investment project.

Support in the definition of the strategy for the transformation towards the smart factory

Advice to companies for their conversion into Smart Factory and incorporation into the Connected Industry 4.0 (i4.0) environment by carrying out situation diagnoses, definition of road maps and tutoring in technological integration projects

The digital transformation of a company requires clearly identifying the real needs it has, the strategic approach in the short and medium term and the internal processes where it would be most profitable to adopt a digitization strategy. This information and other complementary information is extracted in the situation diagnoses, which allow the digitization roadmap to be drawn up following AIDIMME's own methodology.
