Introduction |
The EU furniture industry is a labor intensive sector dominated by SMEs, which today faces different challenges such as increasing competition from countries with smaller
production costs, rising raw material and labor costs, aging workforce and difficulties in attracting younger workers. The reconversion of the industry applying circularity has the potential to meet these challenges, through repair, reconditioning and remanufacturing, enabling the recovery of value, economic growth and job creation within the European industry of the furniture, while saving resources and resources and protecting the environment.

Currently in the Process Management and sustainability section (Department of Technologies and Processes), he has been working at AIDIMME since 2005 in the field of environmental improvement of products and processes in the furniture sector through technical advice to companies, and also participates in various R + D + i projects. He has specialized in ecodesign and life cycle analysis, the study of the best techniques available in the furniture sector, etc. |
PORCAR GUERRERO, RAFAEL SERGIO |

Degree in Economics and Business Administration, Research Proficiency (DEA) in Applied Economics. Senior analyst, in AIDIMME since 2017. Professional experience of 6 years as a researcher in urban, housing and territorial economy, 2 years as a consultant and teacher of management ERP and 11 years as an analyst in projects and services of Competitive Intelligence and innovation of market. As a teacher, Rafa is an experienced and entertaining teacher who teaches real examples of data analysis and visualization. |
MARCOS VICENTE, ANGEL |

Process Management and Sustainability Technician (Department of Technologies and Processes, AIDIMME). Graduated in Environmental Sciences from the University of Valencia and Master in Management, Conservation and Restoration of Biodiversity from the University of Granada. Several years of experience linked to management systems and environmental certification in different sectors, as well as in project development and advice on sustainability and circular economy. |

Graduate in Chemical Sciences and Diploma in Advanced Studies in Engineering and Innovation Projects. He develops his professional career at AIDIMME as a technician in R&D projects, has extensive experience as a teacher in courses organized by the entity, Autonomous Administration, etc. In addition to extensive experience in participating in European projects LIFE +, INTELLIGENT ENERGY, ERASMUS + (MIMWOOD and EQWOOD), national and regional projects, mainly in the environmental field. He combines his main activity with that of associate professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Valencia. |
