"FGVA BIO0 - EMRIMAD" FGVA BIO0 - EMRIMAD - EVALUATION, MONITORING AND INTELLIGENT REHABILITATION OF HISTORIC FLOORS WITH WOODEN JOISTS DESCRIPTION The objective of the project is to develop a methodology for the intelligent, rapid and economic evaluation and rehabilitation of historic wooden joist floors. The methodology aims to: a) preserve European heritage; b) give new uses to historic properties, complying with current regulations; c) reduce the environmental, economic, social and cultural impacts associated with the construction/rehabilitation of buildings; d) promote the circular economy. OBJECTIVES The general objectives of the project are the following: 1) Characterize the mechanical response, both at room temperature and under the action of fire, of wooden joists from historic buildings. 2) Carry out a probabilistic analysis of the properties of the wood. This type of analysis allows us to evaluate the effect of the variability of the properties of the wood on the mechanical behavior of it and of the slabs as a whole. 3) Develop a performance-focused approach for the evaluation and sustainable reinforcement of wood joist floors against fire. 4) Develop a methodology for the intelligent monitoring of historic wooden floors, including mechanical loads and biotic attacks, in order to evaluate their safety in real time and prevent possible degradation.
