"SHCITY" SHCITY-SMART HERITAGE CITY DESCRIPTION SHCity addresses the innovative challenge of creating a unique open source tool to manage historic urban centers and facilitate the work of the competent authorities in decision making. This solution will integrate data collected by sensor networks deployed in the urban area, in order to control and respond to the elements of risk that affect buildings and their immediate surroundings, energy consumption management and control and management of visitor flow . It is based on a set of tools developed through the use of ICT and expert knowledge of different fields related to urban heritage management, with the aim of extending the concept of Smart City to Smart Heritage City by adapting the monitoring scale , moving from a building to an urban complex. The results of the project will clearly benefit the Public Administrations and the organizations and companies related to the management of urban complexes. The SHCity management system will be demonstrated and validated in the city of Ávila, Unesco World Heritage and participant in the Smart Patrimonio initiative. OBJECTIVES The project fundamentally pursues three objectives: a.- The design of a global system and development of monitoring technology. b.- The improvement of the knowledge of the state of the historic center, through the creation of a tool for control and management of information and development of a deterioration prevention model. c.- The development of management models applicable to historical groups that help intelligent management and decision-making and a transfer of management models to the administration.
