"SUSTAINABLE HABITAT"SUSTAINABLE HABITAT. DEVELOPMENT AND INTEGRATION OF SOLUTIONS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL COMFORT DESCRIPTIONIt is intended to carry out the design and development of solutions for the improvement of Environmental Comfort (thermal, light and air quality) through the integration of intelligent materials (active and passive) and sustainable solutions in domestic and public environments. The behavior of the materials and the active control of the various elements and solutions that contribute to comfort would be supervised by an open control system that allows the interconnection of sensors of environmental parameters, by means of an Environmental Intelligence system. Its structure will be based and integrated into the protocol developed in OPEN HABITAT and will allow the integration of the environmental parameter sensors with the designed active devices and will obtain information from both the materials and various sensors, to process them and generate the most appropriate responses on elements and materials active to achieve the desired comfort situation. OBJECTIVESDesign and development of products, sustainable solutions and devices based on intelligent materials for the improvement of environmental comfort. These solutions will be integrated into the open control platform based on the protocol developed in OPEN-HABITAT and will be managed by an Environmental Intelligence system developed on this platform. Together with the improvement of environmental comfort, energy savings will be achieved in the home. RESULTS OBTAINEDYear 2014: At present, AIDIMA develops several prototypes so that, in an active way, they respond to the conditions of the environment to improve the degree of user comfort. One of these solutions tries to dampen the temperature increases that are registered in the seats, so that the person has a feeling of freshness when the temperature of the seat increases. The seat does not require any external order, but "changes" by means of a substance added to the board that makes it up, and that belongs to those known as phase change materials.
Year 2014: Another of the prototypes tries to improve the relative humidity of the air, as well as its purification (cleaning). It is known that very dry air, typical of indoor environments where there is heating and cooling by heat pump, is harmful to the respiratory tract, especially for sick people, the elderly and children, and causes skin problems.
