"FGVA-SILENT"
FGVA DOP0. IMPROVEMENT OF THE ACOUSTIC BEHAVIOR OF WORK AREAS, THUS INCREASING THEIR USABILITY
DESCRIPTION
Soundproofing in the work environment helps concentration and provides privacy. The project aims to investigate the composition of different panels made from the most suitable recycled material for acoustic insulation applications.
The samples consist of boards or sheets made from ecological and/or recycled materials. To analyze these, a sound level meter will be used to measure the intensity of the sound emitted and received, as well as a noise generator (impedance tube).
The size of the samples will determine the frame of the test structure, which must allow easy exchange of samples.
The application of different materials, their combinations and their coatings will be tested to determine their influence on soundproofing.
This material, the result of the research, will be proposed as an insulating panel for soundproof booths in industrial environments, whose assembly can be inside or outside (resistance to climatic agents), but also being useful for offices and domestic environments.
The result of the project will materialize with the construction/reconstruction of a one-person cabin for outdoors or indoors.
OBJECTIVES
The use of soundproof booths is currently implemented in different sectors, mainly in offices and other interior spaces.
The material of the enclosures is usually made up of acoustic boards and panels of different nature, which are the ones that absorb most of the intensity (generally averaged in dB), coming from the outside or inside, thus reducing the decibels perceived by the worker.
The aim is, therefore, to optimize this component of the enclosure panels and replace it with an ecological material that improves acoustic performance, obtaining a more sustainable product with a higher degree of soundproofing.
