"CUSTOM ON BODY"

CUSTOM ON BODY. DEFINITION OF A DESIGN METHODOLOGY FOR THE PERSONALIZATION OF PRODUCTS ADAPTED TO THE MORPHOLOGICAL VARIABILITY OF THE POPULATION THAT ARE MANUFACTURED THROUGH FLEXIBLE PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGIES

DESCRIPTION

This project proposal proposes the development of a design methodology that harmoniously integrates an 3D registration protocol of the body, user preference capture techniques, and a protocol for the use of flexible manufacturing technologies. The 3D registration protocol will allow users to generate avatars, as it will include applications that will process the point cloud registered by the scanner, transforming it into homogeneous surfaces from which to obtain quantitative and qualitative references for the personalization of the product to the individual. In the same way, the inclusion of techniques to capture user preferences will allow the product to be adapted to the user's emotional preferences. Finally, the protocol for the use of flexible manufacturing technologies will provide companies with means of production for the manufacture of customized products at costs and times that can be assumed by the markets demanding customization

OBJECTIVES

The aim of the CUSTOM_ON_BODY project is to develop a design methodology that, based on avatars of the human body, allows the design of personalized products adapted not only to the morphology of the users but also to their preferences in the emotional field, and which are producible using manufacturing technologies flexible that are available to companies in the CV. The project will not only focus on the identification and fine-tuning of manufacturing technologies that facilitate the arrival of personalized products on the market at appropriate costs and deadlines, but will also identify the main markets in which this demand is present.
