"GO HQ HALEPENSIS" CONSOLIDATION OF THE POTENTIAL AND SUSTAINABLE AND COMPETITIVE VIABILITY OF HIGH VALUE ADDED WOOD FROM PINUS HALEPENSIS IN SPAIN, TO STRENGTHEN THE WOOD INDUSTRY AND MEDITERRANEAN FORESTS. DESCRIPTION An innovative project within the framework of the CAP Strategic Plan 2023-2027, financed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), which aims to enhance the value of Mediterranean forests and Pinus Halepensis wood by promoting forest management that enhances the harvesting, mobilization and transformation of quality halepensis wood, for its incorporation into circular bioeconomy value chains, strengthening both the industrial sector and the ecological resilience of Mediterranean forest ecosystems. OBJECTIVES Revaluing Aleppo pine by promoting its transformation and knowledge into high-quality timber, its incorporation into circular bioeconomy value chains such as construction and housing, making abandoned rural areas attractive through diversification and economic revitalization, strengthening both the industrial sector and the ecological resilience of Mediterranean forest ecosystems, mitigating construction pollution by facilitating the use of local structural timber.
