"FGVA DOP0 - OSTEOSIT" FGVA DOP0 - Seats for people with joint pathologies DESCRIPTION The project aims to improve seating ergonomics for people with joint problems, reducing future damage. OBJECTIVES The objectives of the project are: • Knowledge of the needs of the population with joint problems in relation to the sitting position and the actions of sitting and standing. • Study of the ergonomics of seating furniture to adapt to these needs. • Design of a prototype to evaluate the information/knowledge acquired. Project Number: 22500014 Grant Agreement: IMAMCA/2025/2 Duration: From 01/01/2025 to 31/12/2025 Coordinated in AIDIMME by: NIÑEROLA GONZALEZ, RUBEN R&D Line: PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND OPTIMIZATION RESULTS OBTAINED Year 2025: The results obtained are: • In-depth understanding of the relationship between the human body, the way of sitting and standing, and the design and materials of seats • List of a series of furniture factors that are closely related to the safety, comfort and health of the user and that are considered as ergonomic criteria for the manufacture of seats for the population with joint problems. • Classification of these criteria according to their importance in the impact on the user's health, comfort and safety. • Estimation of the degree of compliance of the furniture currently marketed in Spain with the ergonomic requirements identified in the project. • Evaluation of seat prototypes, with greater and lesser approximation to the criteria described, with a study of the degree of improvement felt by the user through greater compliance with the criteria and evaluated through the questionnaire developed by AIDIMME.
