"FEDER CODIRA" FEDER CODIRA-COMMUNICATION PLATFORM BETWEEN INDUSTRIAL DEVICES, ROBOTS AND ACCESSORIES. DESCRIPTION There are general platforms on the market that manage communication between some protocols, but they are partial and do not consider the specific needs of these environments. In the industry, a system is needed that provides greater efficiency in communication between robots and other devices, a reduction in the time required to configure and maintain communication, greater security and prevention of communication errors, and ease of integration of new elements. The CODIRA project will provide an innovative solution to the problems of interoperability in Industry 4.0, through research in the different fields in which it affects (industrial communication protocols, system integration, robotics, etc.). In addition, the development of new technologies for communication and interoperability in these environments will be promoted and it will contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of industrial automation and robotics. Finally, the project will have a high potential impact on Industry 4.0, as it can improve efficiency, productivity and safety in factories. OBJECTIVES The general objectives of the project are the following: • Research on technology and solutions for communication protocols in industrial lines with robotic systems and management of functionalities based on exchanged data. • Develop a functional platform that will serve as an intermediate interface to facilitate fluid and efficient communication between industrial robots, devices and accessories. Allowing the management of the line, its states, communications and robot functions, with specific functionalities for the control and communication with the robots on the line. • Carry out a demonstrator pilot that integrates the platform into a replica of an industrial process. Project Number: 22400054 Grant Agreement: IMDEEA / 2024/44 Duration: From 01/07/2024 to 30/11/2025 Coordinated in AIDIMME by: MARTÍN SILVESTRE, ANTONIO JOSÉ R&D Line: INDUSTRY 4.0 RESULTS OBTAINED Año 2025: Como resultado del proyecto CODIRA se ha desarrollado una plataforma middleware industrial multiprotocolo, operativa sobre hardware genérico, que permite la comunicación y gestión unificada de robots, dispositivos industriales y sistemas externos mediante protocolos como OPC UA, Modbus TCP, MQTT y APIs REST. La plataforma incorpora funcionalidades de monitorización en tiempo real, registro histórico de datos, gestión de alertas y ejecución de reglas y procedimientos, posibilitando el control y la coordinación de dispositivos industriales desde una única interfaz web. Se ha realizado un piloto demostrador en un entorno industrial relevante, integrando un PLC industrial, un robot colaborativo y sensores, validando la interoperabilidad, la ejecución coordinada de operaciones y la robustez del sistema, alcanzando un nivel de madurez tecnológica TRL 6. La validación con empresas integradoras y usuarias ha mostrado una valoración global positiva, destacando la mejora en interoperabilidad, la simplificación de la arquitectura de comunicaciones, la eficiencia operativa y el alto potencial de aplicación futura de la solución en entornos industriales reales.
