"FEDER PROFOC" FEDER PROFOC - FORECAST OF FIRE BEHAVIOUR OF MULTISECTORAL APPLICATION MATERIALS THROUGH THE OPTIMIZED DEVELOPMENT OF A PREDICTIVE TOOL DESCRIPTION Predicting the fire behaviour of a material allows for optimising the experimental design of future research and development projects carried out by companies, since both the number of test tubes and their total area required to obtain relevant information will be much smaller, reducing energy and production costs. In the PROFOC project, based on the results obtained in its predecessor PREFIRETOOL, the predictive tool will be improved by optimizing the generation of families, obtaining a greater amount of data in order to feed the model, training the model and validating the tool by re-evaluating its predictive capacity. OBJECTIVES The overall objective of the project is to optimize and develop a tool that allows predicting the fire behavior of materials, in order to evaluate the possibility of using them for various applications. This objective will be achieved through the following specific objectives: •Segmentation by families or subgroups depending on the potential fire behaviour of the different materials to refine the estimation predicted by the tool, establishing a relationship between small-scale experiences and large-scale ones. •Obtaining a greater amount of data to feed the model, improving its robustness and predictive capacity. •Performing a training phase of the model with experimental data that has not been used in the generation of the tool's predictive model. •Re-evaluation of the predictive capacity to discern the effectiveness of the improvements implemented in the optimization carried out following the research conducted in the PROFOC project. Project Number: 22400049 Grant Agreement: IMDEEA / 2024/76 Duration: From 01/06/2024 to 30/09/2025 Coordinated in AIDIMME by: GARCÍA MALPARTIDA, STEPHANE ABENAMAR R&D Line: ADVANCED MATERIALS APPLICATIONS RESULTS OBTAINED Year 2025: During 2025, the screening test corresponding to the small-scale method (cone calorimetry) continued to obtain a greater amount of data on the different variables that have an impact on the fire behavior of materials, such as: heat emission rate, total heat produced (THR), ignition time, duration of inflammation, smoke production, etc. The experimental development was carried out using the large-scale or "real test" method known as SBI (European standard Euroclass EN 13501-1). In addition, the data obtained from both the small-scale and large-scale screening tests were analyzed and processed to determine their inclusion in the predictive tool. Finally, the predictive tool has been developed, and the model training phase is being carried out with experimental data that were not part of the generation of the tool's predictive model. In parallel with the implementation of the technical work packages, work packages for managing, transferring, and disseminating results have been developed with both the project's partner companies and potentially interested companies.
