"CONSTRUFOC-4.0-RA-RV" CONSTRUFOC- 4.0 -RA/RV DESCRIPTION This project is part of an action coordinated by REDIT in which several technological institutes of the network participate. Within the framework of this initiative, in addition to participating in different joint dissemination actions, AIDIMME will undertake two activities, focusing on fire protection in the habitat sector. The first is more focused on the field of construction materials, and the second on the use of AR/VR as support in prevention. OBJECTIVES The objective of the action is to prepare a detailed report, as well as audiovisual promotional material, to publicize the requirements established by legislation regarding fire protection, with an explanation of their meaning, the applicable regulations and the existing means to classify and understand a material or construction solution in relation to the legislative and regulatory criteria. The report will show the results of various types of materials and construction solutions, from traditional ones to the most innovative ones, including those of natural origin, biomaterials, recently introduced in the sector and with clear environmental advantages. Additionally, a pilot demonstration will be developed to show the application of virtual reality in improving building safety in the construction sector. Specifically, the design and creation of a demonstrator will be carried out, consisting of a virtual environment where the positioning of exit signs, the positioning of fire extinguishers and fire alarm buttons, and the location and correct handling of the extinguishers can be visualized, visualizing the possibilities of the technology for training in possible emergencies in buildings. For interaction with this application, adapters have been designed and manufactured using additive manufacturing to be able to use the physical extinguishers in the VR application, connecting them to the controls of the virtual reality glasses. This physical coupling allows users to train in the use of real fire extinguishers while viewing a virtual environment that simulates fire scenarios. In this way, training includes not only theoretical learning, but also the physical and mechanical practice of correctly handling the equipment."
