FABRICARE - COLLABORATIVE, SECURE AND INTELLIGENT MANUFACTURING THROUGH ADVANCED INTERFACES, ROBOTICS AND DIGITAL TWINS

DESCRIPTION

Intelligent and collaborative industrial manufacturing has been experiencing significant advances in recent years in the use of technologies such as virtual and augmented reality, mobile robotics or sensory systems. Thanks to the application of these technologies in the industrial sector, machine designs can be optimized, plant maintenance and control improved, or operator training improved, among other benefits, also opening the market to the development of new industrial applications and opportunities. of business. For this reason, companies are demanding innovative industrial solutions in this area, which allow them to improve processes, reduce times, and increase safety, while saving costs.

In this context, the FABRICARE group has been established: A consortium of excellence made up of five Red Cervera research centers that are leaders in Spain in the technological area of virtual and augmented reality systems, advanced collaborative environments, mobile robotics and sensory systems. These technological centers are CEIT, IKERLAN, AIDIMME, CTC and TECNALIA. Although these centers have different departments / work groups dedicated to developing systems that allow advanced Man-Machine interfaces in collaborative environments, as well as other complementary lines, thanks to the grouping of these 5 centers the entire value chain can be covered. in the field of Industry 4.0.

OBJECTIVES

The main objective of the FABRICARE program is to research and develop lines of work that contemplate different technologies within smart manufacturing in collaborative environments. FABRICARE's integrated vision consists of improving current manufacturing processes with the use of collaborative and mobile robotics, perception systems to ensure safety and their integration into a digital twin modeling and simulation platform. This platform will allow the production process to be simulated and analyzed in advance, but also to monitor and control the process in real time. To interact with this platform, advanced interfaces based on different technologies will be developed.
