"FERRINCH"FERRINCH - DEVELOPMENT OF CONCRETE REINFORCED WITH FIBERS FROM METAL WASTE DESCRIPTIONFiber-reinforced concrete improves the non-linear behavior of concrete, especially against tensile stresses, stitching cracks, preventing them from propagating and allowing the concrete to continue resisting traction, being especially effective for resisting dynamic loads or where high stress control is required. the cracking Currently, there is a wide variety of mortars on the market that incorporate plastic, carbon and metal fibers, among others, as reinforcement. The novelty of this project consists of using fibers and chips generated as waste in the industrial processes of machining metal parts. In this way, it is possible, on the one hand, to avoid the industrial manufacture of fibers, reducing the environmental impact and embedded energy that this entails, and, on the other, to reuse industrial waste with minimal treatment. The project aims to develop a highly sustainable procedure for the reuse of mechanical waste and to analyze the properties that concrete acquires thanks to the incorporation of fibers, evaluating the applications of greatest interest. OBJECTIVESThe objective of the project is to develop a high-performance concrete that contributes to the circular economy through the use of steel fibers that result as a residue from machining processes, lamination, ..., with a very low environmental and chrematistic cost in the previous treatment. The fibers will be obtained from the shavings derived from the metal industry and will be prepared for reuse with the least number of operations possible, reducing the embedded energy that the traditional fiber generation process would imply, providing a solution to the management of this waste. . The role of the fibers will be to reduce cracking, improve its resistance capacity and confer other properties such as resistance to fire, abrasion and thermal performance such as increased conductivity. ![]() RESULTS OBTAINEDYear 2023: The results obtained are: The determination of the type of waste metal chips that allows their selection as concrete reinforcement. The influence of the treatment for the incorporation of recycled steel shavings in the concrete dosage. Knowledge of how fiber morphology affects the performance of the mixture. The dosage of recycled shavings in the formulations. The evaluation of the thermal response of concrete against fire and as an energy accumulator. The possible uses of concrete reinforced with recycled fibers. ![]() ![]() PUBLISHED NEWSgeneral broadcasthttps://actualidad.aidimme.es/2024/01/10/https-actualida (...)https://actualidad.aidimme.es/2023/10/31/fin-proyectos-2 (...)https://actualidad.aidimme.es/2023/04/04/proyectos/ (...)https://actualidad.aidimme.es/2023/01/24/aidimme-impulsa (...)https://actualidad.aidimme.es/2023/01/03/aidimme-resulta (...)https://actualidad.aidimme.es/2022/11/03/congreso-habita (...)https://actualidad.aidimme.es/2022/10/03/aidimme-feria-h (...)https://actualidad.aidimme.es/2022/07/13/proyectos-inici (...)https://actualidad.aidimme.es/2022/07/13/ferrinch-inicio (...)Technical dissemination, transferhttps://actualidad.aidimme.es/2023/01/23/ferrinch-desarr (...)GRANT185.375 € € "" Objective Sectors by CNAECNAE: 2361 - Manufacture of concrete elements for - Number of target companies: 26 (9 from the Valencian Community) CNAE: 2363 - Manufacture of fresh concrete - Number of target companies: 8 (3 from the Valencian Community) CNAE: 2369 - Manufacture of other concrete products - Number of target companies: 17 (9 from the Valencian Community) CNAE: 2410 - Manufacture of basic iron products - No. of target companies: 78 (41 from the Valencian Community) CNAE: 2420 - Manufacture of tubes, pipes, profiles - Number of target companies: 28 (18 from the Valencian Community) CNAE: 2562 - Mechanical engineering on behalf of third parties - Number of target companies: 67 (45 from the Valencian Community) CNAE: 4121 - Construction of residential buildings - No. of target companies: 304 (183 from the Valencian Community) CNAE: 4122 - Construction of non-residential buildings - No. of target companies: 57 (35 from the Valencian Community) CNAE: 4211 - Construction of roads and highways - No. of target companies: 27 (11 in the Valencian Community) CNAE: 4213 - Construction of bridges and tunnels - Number of target companies: 5 (4 from the Valencian Community) Objective Sectors by ActivityFIBRAS - Number of target companies: 24 (9 from the Valencian Community) MECHANIZED - Number of target companies: 2 (2 of the Valencian Community) METAL INDUSTRY - Number of target companies: 92 (41 of the Valencian Community) CONSTRUCTION AND STRUCTURES - Number of target companies: 28 (15 from the Valencian Community) TRACTOR COMPANIESThanks to its support and signature of the "declaration of participation" the project has been funded.
