"IDSIATE" IDSIATE - RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF AN INNOVATIVE WOOD-BASED THERMAL INSULATION SYSTEM FOR BUILDINGS DESCRIPTION The general objective of the project is to investigate, develop and characterize an innovative thermal insulation system for buildings based on wood or derived materials, and therefore sustainable and with a low environmental impact. In addition, the system will have technical advantages over existing ones. OBJECTIVES The specific objectives of the project are the following: 1) Analyze complete advanced thermal insulation solutions, novel or in the process of development, for buildings. The analysis will take into account its advantages, disadvantages and limitations. 2) Select innovative wood or derivative materials with suitable mechanical and thermal properties for use in general thermal insulation systems for construction. 3) Investigate and then design an innovative thermal insulation system for buildings that includes the selected wood materials and maximizes the energy efficiency of the buildings where it is installed. By reducing or eliminating thermal bridges, the system will also minimize the risk of degradation caused by surface and interstitial condensation. The design will include the construction details, as well as the joining elements necessary for its assembly. 4) Develop prototypes of the innovative thermal insulation system for buildings. 5) Structurally and thermally characterize the developed prototypes, according to the CTE. From the results obtained in the characterization, the developed isolation system will be improved and optimized. 6) Effectively disseminate the project and its results. 7) Transfer and promote the results to companies in the Valencian Community.
