"PREFIRETOOL" PREFIRETOOL - RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF A PREDICTIVE TOOL OF THE FIRE BEHAVIOR OF DIFFERENT PRODUCTS FOR MULTISECTORAL APPLICATION DESCRIPTION The heterogeneity in fire behavior evaluation systems and the increase in possible applications of materials and products in other sectors motivate the development of the PREFIRETOOL project. The proposed experimental research aims to establish the relationships between several parameters of different fire characterization systems. OBJECTIVES The general objective of the project is the research and development of a tool that allows predicting the fire behavior of a product to evaluate the possibility of being used for various applications. The specific objectives are: • O.1. Characterization of different materials subjected to different fire behavior evaluation systems. • O.2. Development of a predictive tool that relates different parameters with which to evaluate behavior against fire. • O.3. Study the correlation of results between large-scale methods and small-scale methods. From the subsequent analysis of the data derived from the characterization mentioned above, it was possible to profile the data that were used for the development of the predictive tool, fulfilling objective O.2, relating different parameters with which to evaluate behavior against fire. At the same time, the necessary tasks were completed to fulfill the specific objective O.3, of studying the correlation of results between large-scale methods and small-scale methods.
