INNDIH - VALENCIA REGION DIGITAL INNOVATION HUB

DESCRIPTION

InnDIH is the Valencia Region DIH, representing the major public-private collaboration among the business ecosystem, universities, technological and research centers and public agencies, for the digitalization of SMEs and Public Administration (PA). Promoted by AVI (Valencia Innovation Agency) and coordinated by ITI, InnDIH builds on the experience of previous regional DIHs: Hub4Manuval, ITI Data Cycle Hub, Espaitec, Insomnia and Dinapsis. It is focused on Artificial Intelligence and related technologies, covering Valencian S3 sectors of interest in the areas of Advanced Manufacturing and Quality of life & Health.
InnDIH strength in experimentation facilities allows the provision of digitalization services to SMEs and PAs for technology uptake, support and definition of new business models, on a free-of-charge basis, and organized in 4 blocks: Test before invest, Training and skills, Support to find investments, Innovation ecosystem and networking. Starting with a Digital Maturity Assessment (DMA), users will get a roadmap to improve and access to services: technology assessment, infrastructures, or R&D; business development, networking, or tailored training courses. The DMA will be assessed annually to evaluate further needs and monitor the digitalization evolution.
Project activities and results will be actively disseminated by the consortium, collaborating with DTA and other EU networks, organizing events and meetings at EU and regional level with stakeholders, policy-makers, EEN, etc. InnDIH portfolio of services will be reinforced by the links with the EDIH network, solving other users' technology needs, starting from the 26 corridors already set (6 individual ones, 20 from EuHubs4Data).
In a nutshell, InnDIH grows in a rich ecosystem, following the EU's objective to attain industrial and social wealth through the green and digital transition. Its participation as an EDIH in the DIGITAL program is a key element to boost digitalization in the Valencia region.

OBJECTIVES

InnDIH will demonstrate the impact on digital transformation and its evolution offered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and related technologies (HPC, cybersecurity, big data, robotics) as a one-stop-shop for supporting SMEs and public sector in their digital transition and leveraging its capabilities at EU level: exporting and importing complementary competencies and infrastructures from the EDIH network. So, it provides a balanced set of services depending on the skills of the consortium and the agreements that have been established with other EDIHs candidates to cover additional areas. This set is based on demos and enabling experimentation infrastructures and it is adapted to the needs of the region, covering different sectors of the Valencian Smart Specialization Strategy (RIS3CV1) and having a focus on the following technologies: Artificial Intelligence (AI), HPC, Big Data, Cybersecurity and Robotics.
Sectors and application areas (based on RIS3CV):
- 1st axis of development of quality of life includes, within the area of health and society, sectors as tourism, agri-food, health and efficient healthcare
- 2nd axis of innovative product includes manufacturing of personal consumption goods, mainly footwear, textiles-clothing, toys, childcare and habitat (cladding, ceramic, natural stone materials for the home, lighting, furniture, textiles-home, architecture, home automation, urban environment....)
- 3rd axis of advanced manufacturing processes includes automotive sector.

RESULTS OBTAINED

Año 2024:

- Disseminate the project among members and AIDIMME so they are aware of the opportunities InnDIH offers to increase the competitiveness of companies in the metalworking and woodworking sectors by developing R&D in the areas of product design and development, innovative materials, advanced and sustainable procurement processes, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, and services.

- Of the KPIs that AIDIMME must meet, diagnostics have been conducted on companies to first assess their real needs and then launch a service. Above all, we have attracted the interest of many companies to undertake various services, such as: demonstrators, R&D projects for prototype development, digitalization consulting, demonstration days, use of our technological infrastructure and laboratories by companies, development of demonstrators, or pilot testing of new products following environmental criteria.

- AIDIMME staff have delivered courses specifically for all participating members of the Digital Innovation Hubs across Europe, known as "Train the Trainer."

- AIDIMME participated in the InnDIH booth on October 23rd and 24th, 2024, at the Valencia Digital Summit (VDS) in the City of Arts and Sciences: https://vds.tech/, where VDS is the global epicenter of technological innovation. Many contacts were made for potential new services, and we also brought additive manufacturing parts as a demonstrator.

Year 2023: InnDIH has been established as a non-profit consortium with solid experience and connections at the European level, which promotes the development and implementation of digital technologies in the priority domains of Health and Quality of Life and Advanced Manufacturing, as well as any other that requires digital technologies.
The partners have an extensive curriculum and experience in providing a wide range of digital solutions and services that are mainly based on Artificial Intelligence (AI), as well as other technologies such as HPC, Cybersecurity, Big Data and Robotics, with a high transversality. sectorial.
Additionally, agreements have been established with other EDIH candidates to cover additional areas. This set of services is based on demonstration, enabling and experimentation infrastructures and adapts to the needs of the territory, covering the different sectors of the Valencian Smart Specialization Strategy (RIS3CV).
AIDIMME has been participating in all the tasks where it is mainly involved in seeing how to present the Services to companies in our sector, generating a possible and attractive portfolio for them. We have worked to see possibilities to position InnDIH in Artificial Intelligence networks, as well as propose interesting courses to companies.

InnDIH is a project funded by the European Union through the Digital Europe Programme (Grant Agreement No. 101083002). In collaboration with the Generalitat Valenciana (Generalitat Valenciana), the Regional Ministry of Innovation, Industry, Trade and Tourism, and the Ministry of Industry and Tourism of the Government of Spain, InnDIH promotes important advances in the development of innovative solutions applied to various sectors.
