DESCRIPTION

The AIDIMME Technological Institute investigates the feasibility of using sustainable prefabricated elements developed by the Institute itself for exterior thermal insulation systems (SATE) or interior vertical partitions. PREFCONCEPT, "New prefabricated elements in a real environment", is the continuation of the project carried out in 2021 "Development of prefabricated and highly sustainable construction elements, PRESOST, both have the support of the General Directorate of Innovation of the Ministry of Innovation, Universities , Science and Digital Society, and the collaboration of companies from the sectors involved. PRESOST researched and developed these prefabricated elements for construction from natural materials, such as posidonia, rice husks, or very fast-renewing wood, as well as a mortar with recycled materials, studying their performance at a laboratory and plant scale. pilot.

OBJECTIVES

PREFCONCEPT aims to analyze the behavior of the elements described on a real scale, that is, using them in a real environment, by monitoring the parameters that are considered critical in order to make the appropriate modifications in those cases where it is necessary. In addition to knowing the heat flows, temperature changes and possible deterioration of these construction elements in a real construction, the project will assess the viability of the implementation of the results in part of the companies, so that this analysis allows the manufacturers of the Community of prefabricated elements and their industrial environment, can increase their portfolio of products with greater added value than the current one. It should be noted that these elements manufactured by AIDIMME are characterized by their high sustainability, low carbon footprint, a significant contribution to the reduction of construction and demolition waste (C&D), the lightness of the construction elements, the ease in recycling, its high durability, optimal thermal and acoustic behavior, and a more than considerable minimization of the emission of volatile organic compounds, VOC's.
