PRESOST DEVELOPMENT OF PREFABRICATED AND HIGH SUSTAINABILITY CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS




DESCRIPTION

The Metalworking, Furniture, Wood, Packaging and Related Technological Institute (AIDIMME) is carrying out the project entitled Development of prefabricated and highly sustainable construction elements - PRESOST -, aimed at researching and materializing prefabricated elements for construction, mainly made with materials of natural origin and rapid renewal or recycled, so they imply a low environmental impact, but at the same time comply with the corresponding market and legislative requirements (Regulation (EU) 305/2011, Technical Building Code, CE marking or, failing that, application DITES, ...).

OBJECTIVES

The construction sector requires, as shown by the requests made from the different construction forums, highlighting the Valencian Federation of Construction Entrepreneurs - FEVEC -, of greater industrialization that allows to have more and different construction elements and modules ready-to-use, instead of being elaborated on site, expanding their spectrum of use, in such a way that a rapid assembly on site is achieved, logistics costs are minimized, operator safety increases, and non-operational costs are drastically reduced. quality, by manufacturing the element, practically in its entirety, in a manufacturing environment and not on site, allowing, in turn, to shorten delivery times and completion of works, facilitating the lives of citizens and improving competitiveness.

To these issues, we must add others of a technical and environmental nature, highlighting the high sustainability, the low carbon footprint, contribution to the reduction of RCD (construction and demolition waste), the lightening of the element, the ease in recycling, high durability, acoustic and thermal behavior and minimization of the VOC mission.

Among the possible prefabricated elements to be developed, for this project two types have been chosen to materialize the knowledge generated:
- Exterior vertical facade cladding
- Interior vertical partition
The selection has been due to the fact that, in this way, different benefits are covered, both environmental, temperature, humidity, ..., as well as technical, especially its thermal and acoustic insulation capacities.
