"FGVA DOP0 - SIMUPROD 2" SIMUPROD 2 BEHAVIOR CHARACTERIZATION MODELS IN PRODUCTS SUBJECT TO THE ACTION OF COMPLEX FLUIDS DESCRIPTION The project will address the study of the performance of behavior characterization models in products subjected to the action of complex fluids, using CFD based on smooth particle harness for applications with high speeds and multiphase systems. The study of external aerodynamics through CFD methodologies based on Lattice Boltzman, and the influence of the use of GPUs (Graphics Processing Unit) in the analysis and physical correlation of complex CFD systems with high performance calculation needs will also be addressed. OBJECTIVES Improve understanding of flow prediction with complex geometries and multiphase flows in advanced fluid dynamics problems. Analyze the influence of the use of GPUs in the calculation tools and the degree of correlation with real physical models through laboratory bench tests. Likewise, the project has contributed to the development of the experimental method for this type of applications with the construction of the fluid test bench where it has been possible to evaluate the correlation with the simulations carried out.
