DESCRIPTION The general objective of the project is to improve the formulation of wood-plastic composite products (WPC: Wood plastic composite) in order to obtain an optimal formulation that simultaneously presents good physical-mechanical performance and good behavior against fire. to increase the use and competitiveness of this type of composite materials. The manufacturing has been carried out by extrusion in two phases: a prior mixing of all the components has been carried out, obtaining WPC pellets, which are subsequently added to the extruder to produce the desired profile. Year 2021: Verification of the physical-mechanical properties and behavior against fire of the new prototypes produced. Year 2021: Expansion of data to strengthen the correlation of the predictive tool to evaluate the behavior against small-scale fire to predict its eventual danger in a full-scale fire.
