"WOODMARKETS" SUDOE WOODMARKETS - THE DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AT THE SERVICE OF THE WOOD INDUSTRY OF THE SUDOE SPACE DESCRIPTION WOODMARKETS is a project that contributes to promoting the competitiveness of wood processing companies throughout their value chain. The digital transformation in the wood sector has begun timidly and companies see it as an opportunity to increase sales and position themselves in a global market. The objective of WOODMARKETS is to promote the introduction of digitalization in the timber industry of the SUDOE space, contributing to improve the skills, visibility and competitiveness of the sector, supporting it in information, training and tools and digital development services. WOODMARKETS will adapt to the needs, priorities and levels of digital evolution of each industrial link (first, second and third transformation). A transnational service to support digital transformation will be the main product. The project will also help companies to define a Digital Integration Strategy and Action Plan and will improve the capacities and competencies of SMEs and their sector entities to accelerate the digital transition in the timber SUDOE space. OBJECTIVES The main objective of the project is to support the introduction and reinforce the digital environment of the first, second and third wood processing companies through task groups (WG) that will respond to the 3 objectives set: 1) Help companies in the wood sector to define a strategy to support the digital transition 2) Accompany the development of digital innovation tools and services for wood SMEs 3) Improve the capacities and skills of SMEs and their sector entities to accelerate the digital transition The project will address aspects of capitalization of projects and previous actions, with a product that will be an online Module for the consultation of digital tools and resources (GT1). Next, business needs will be identified in terms of digital transition (GT2). This group of tasks will give as a product a transnational shared strategy and a digitalization plan for the sector, elements that will be transferred to be integrated into public policies. The GT3 will be the core of the project with the deployment of the Transnational Service to support the digital transition. Digital tools and services will be developed and / or adapted to improve production processes, business management and product marketing. All this through the development of a Catalog of Services and Tools that will be offered to SMEs and will adapt to their needs, assessing the degree of efficiency and cost of implementation. Finally, GT4 will carry out actions focused on improving skills and abilities in digitalization, helping SMEs to network between digital service providers and sector needs and executing training actions. A common transnational training plan will be carried out.
