    The industry is demanding materials that are not available in Additive Manufacturing, with this, companies seek to combine the advantages of new materials with the potential of additive manufacturing. In response to this need, AIDIMME has been working since 2009 on the development of non-standard materials, from the design of the raw material, obtaining the processing conditions and the complete characterization that the developed material requires.

Design for Additive Manufacturing

    AIDIMME, well aware of the advantages and limitations of each additive manufacturing technology, offers collaboration in product reengineering so that companies begin to take advantage of these technologies, simplifying and reducing manufacturing costs from the design itself.

    Additive manufacturing is being used to manufacture final products and tools. These technologies allow obtaining more complex and optimized parts than those that can be manufactured using traditional processes. The use of interior channels, three-dimensional structures and the extreme lightening of the geometry are some of the characteristics of the new products manufactured with these technologies.

    AIDIMME has collaborated with numerous companies from different sectors such as: Health, orthopedics, dental, machine tools, transportation, tooling, tooling, aeronautics, construction and consumer goods.

Technology Development

    Additive manufacturing technologies are undergoing an unstoppable evolution to be more competitive, improving process speed, resolution or making it possible to develop new materials that require different technologies. In this context, AIDIMME has been collaborating with companies in the development of new additive manufacturing technologies thanks to a large multidisciplinary group in the world of additive manufacturing and in the development of custom machines.

Industrialization

    The industry is beginning to introduce additive manufacturing as one more productive process, complementary to other processes that coexist in manufacturing companies. The concern of companies is to be able to incorporate new additive manufacturing technologies and achieve high levels of repeatability. AIDIMME offers companies a collaboration that consists of studying the variables of these additive manufacturing processes, developing procedures that help to achieve the highest levels of repeatability in manufacturing. The experience acquired by AIDMME in the development of different European projects has promoted AIDIMME to be one of the benchmarks in the field, experience that is currently being used to help industrial companies to successfully implement Additive Manufacturing technologies.

Training

With AIDIMME training, it contributes to transmitting knowledge and experience to the industry on issues related to production processes. The courses are proposed with a theoretical-practical structure so that students acquire theoretical knowledge but can also see and share the experiences of other companies that already use these solutions.
