METHODS AND TIMES COURSE

Benefits

To conduct comprehensive methods and time studies. To analyze a job and determine if the method used is correct or if it can be improved, and how. To calculate the time required to produce a product, taking into account not only the time study itself, but also the pace, considering activities that are repeated in all cycles and their frequency, to determine what fatigue allowances apply to that job, and with all this data to calculate the time that should be allocated to that piece.

Introduction

This course is focused on training technicians from different companies in the interpretation, analysis and creation of methods and time studies.
The knowledge and application of these tools are becoming increasingly necessary. Companies need to know how long it takes to produce a part, not only for productivity reasons, but also because knowing the time required is linked to production planning and scheduling, calculating the space needed for inventories (beginning, ending, and intermediate), and paying productivity bonuses (if applicable). It's also essential when implementing Lean production. This applies not only to production cycles but also to setup times. It's useful in any production environment. People once thought it was an obsolete tool, but it has proven to be increasingly necessary.
