ISTA-6 AMAZON CERTIFICATION: DO YOU SELL DIRECTLY TO AMAZON? IS YOUR PACKAGING READY? |
Benefits |
Gain an advantage over your competitors by understanding Amazon's requirements for optimizing, adapting, and sustainably managing packaging. |
Introduction |
Amazon's current policy requires sellers to certify their product packaging under the ISTA 6-AMAZON.COM-SIOC standard for the "Ships Without Additional Amazon Packaging" program. ASINs that meet the criteria for this program (e.g., weight, fragility) must undergo lab testing or self-assessment to demonstrate that the packaging is safe for shipping. The goal is to ensure that products arrive in good condition, which can result in discounts on Amazon's fulfillment fees.
AMAZON introduces standardization in packaging into its distribution chain, as well as the obligation to obtain its certification through the evaluation of the same, according to the ISTA 6-AMAZON.COM-SIOC protocol.
Do you know what types of packaging Amazon recommends?
Are your packages ready to obtain ISTA-AMAZON certification?
Do you know the limits on dimensions and weights of the packages that must be certified?
Do you know if your packaging can be exempt from the ISTA-AMAZON certification?
How much might it cost to get certified in ISTA-AMAZON in terms of time and money? |
