Introduction

The ADR regulations (Agreement for the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road), applicable to the national and international transport of dangerous goods, leave it to the competent authority of each country how manufacturers whose headquarters are located in their territory must carry out the conformity of production.

The Ministry of Transport, together with experts from the sector of inspection, manufacturing and testing of packaging for dangerous goods, has developed a standard that will be mandatory through a royal decree, thus replacing the current regulations.

Content

1. Application of the DRAFT STANDARD UNE 192003-7 (PART 7): Procedure for regulatory inspection. Transport units of dangerous goods. Specific requirements for the inspection of packaging (Containers, Packaging, Large Bulk Containers and Large Packagings).

2. “Quality assurance program evaluation questionnaire for the production of packaging intended for the transport of dangerous goods.”

Methodology

Knowledge transfer (PowerPoint) and experiential learning: an informative talk between expert technicians in the field, including the Coordinator of the Hazardous Goods Laboratory at AIDIMME (Raúl Moreno Castelló) and a representative from an Authorized Control Body. For those registered for in-person attendance, the seminar will include a guided tour of the laboratory.
