Recently, AIDIMME invested in equipping and modernizing the fire behavior laboratory facilities located at the Benjamin Franklin Campus. |

The capabilities of AIDIMME's Fire Behavior Department are diversified into the following types:
• Reaction to fire. Euroclasses. Construction products.
• Flammability of furniture, mattresses and textiles.
• Reaction to fire. Materials used in motor vehicles.
• Notified Body by the European Commission – CE Marking.
• Research, Development and Innovation (R&D&I) projects.
• Specific training services and customized courses.

9:45–9:55 a.m.: Institutional intervention. Vicente Rocatí (AIDIMME General Director) and Vicente Sales (AIDIMME Deputy Director).
• Strategic value of the new laboratory.
• Support for innovation in safety, sustainability, and certification.
• Positioning AIDIMME as a national and European reference in fire reaction tests.
9:55–11:25 a.m.: Technical presentation of the Fire Laboratory and guided tour of its facilities. Stephane García (Head of Fire Behavior) and Nerea Carpintero and Raquel Cánovas (Fire Behavior Techniques).
Presentation content:
• Need for the new laboratory: industrial and regulatory demand.
• Installed equipment: cameras, ovens, measuring instruments.
• Types of accredited tests (applicable UNE-EN standards).
• Beneficiary sectors: floor, wall and ceiling coverings, varnishes and paints, furniture, construction, etc.
• Integration with other AIDIMME laboratories (chemical, finishing, mechanical...).
• Advantages for the industry: reduction in time (PROFOC), improved quality, support in R&D.
Guided visit:
• Tour of the different areas of the laboratory.
• Live demonstration of an essay.
