SUSTAINABLE FOREST MANAGEMENT: CHAIN OF CUSTODY AND THE NEW EUDR REGULATION.

Benefits

This training course will provide key knowledge on the new EUDR regulation, ensuring a detailed understanding of the obligations that will come into force from January 2026, and thus guaranteeing the ability to adapt to them. It will also provide in-depth knowledge of the chain of custody and the different certification options, facilitating regulatory compliance and promoting responsible practices in the management of forest resources.

Introduction

The fight against deforestation is one of the objectives of the European Union, both within its borders and beyond the Member States. For this reason, the legal obligations established by the EUDR Regulation, approved in 2026, will begin in January 2023. On the other hand, and in the same direction, the FSC and PEFC certificates have been in force for several decades, which accredited the sustainability of their products to those companies that used or sold products of forest origin. Both tools, both legislative and eco-labeling, aim to be combined from now on to promote a more respectful and sustainable sector.
