Introduction |
As of August 24, 2023, in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) 2020/1149 of August 3, 2020 that modifies, with regard to diisocyanates, Annex XVII of Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council, regarding the registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction of chemical substances and mixtures (REACH), training in diisocyanates will be a mandatory requirement for industrial and professional users who work exposed to this substance. And this training will need to be renewed every 5 years.
Diisocyanates are a family of chemical elements that are used for a wide range of products in different sectors and activities, such as the wood and furniture sector, construction, ceramics, textiles, mattress and pillow manufacturing, sanitary ware manufacturing. , automotive, paints, among others.
Exposure to these contaminants can lead to serious respiratory problems. That is why it is important to inform, train and prevent against this risk.
