Introduction |
It is a fact that companies have to be sustainable in order to compete in an increasingly demanding market, both commercially and legislatively. In this context, so that socially responsible companies in the Valencian Community can accredit it, Decree 200/2022 has been developed by the Ministry of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Commerce and Labor. Said Decree sets out what are the requirements to be able to consider a company as “socially responsible”.
All this is framed in the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda. Integrating these SDGs into the management strategy of companies is essential to be able to contribute to the achievement of the objectives set by the United Nations.
In addition, companies must not only adopt Corporate Social Responsibility as part of their mission, but they must also communicate it to their different interest groups. Corporate Social Responsibility is communicated through sustainability reports, and exposes the performance of an organization measured in economic, social and environmental terms.
