WAREHOUSE SAFETY: THE TECHNICAL INSPECTION OF SHELVES BY AN EXPERT

Benefits

Prevention of occupational accidents with damage to facilities and people.

Introduction

The metal racking storage facilities allow palletized products to be stored at height. This type of storage exposes the worker to different risks that must be controlled.
The metal racks can be hit by the handling vehicles during the loading and unloading of the stored merchandise and this may in some cases cause the loads to collapse. For this reason, metal shelves are subject to Royal Decree 1215/1997 and must be periodically reviewed to ensure that their condition is adequate at all times. Thus, we will avoid accidents that in some cases could even compromise the lives of workers.
