"GDM"
GDM R&D PREDICTIVE MODEL SIMULATION OF MECHANICAL BEHAVIOR WITH DIGITAL TWIN TECHNIQUES
DESCRIPTION
Currently, the validation and certification of furniture products is carried out on physical prototypes that faithfully reproduce the final commercial product.
In most cases, this produces a delay in bringing products to the target market, as it is necessary to subject them to several cycles of trial and error, causing a significant loss of competitiveness and opportunity. Reducing this cycle through digital solutions that intervene in the early stages of product development would be a milestone for companies in the sector, causing a significant increase in their competitive capacity.
The GDM project involves effective collaboration between the AEI Wood-Furniture of the Valencian Community (AIDIMME as a representative entity), the AEI AMUEBLA (Innovative business group of furniture manufacturers and related companies in the region of Murcia), the Group of Spanish Exporting Companies (ARVET), the Furniture and Wood Technology Center of the Region of Murcia (CETEM) and the company SANCAL DISEÑO.
Based on this problem, the AEIs AIDIMME (Valencian Community) and AMUEBLA (Region of Murcia), aim to increase the existing knowledge in technologies to carry out simulations prior to the prototype validation phases, so that designers are offered information relevant when developing products that comply with applicable European regulations.
OBJECTIVES
General objective of GDM:
The general objective of GDM is the investigation of a constructive model of digital twins, which, through a modular structure of requirements, facilitate the creation of these, offering efficient product solutions based on AI and TL technologies from historical data of results of other similar products.
Specific objectives
-Research and analysis to expand knowledge in technologies for the deployment of Digital Twins, modular software systems and encapsulation.
-Research and analysis to expand knowledge in Predictive Artificial Intelligence technologies and systems and Machine Learning techniques.
-Develop a modular construction model for the generation of Digital Twins.
-Develop a predictive core that allows obtaining optimized solutions based on learning.
-Validate the results of the solutions provided empirically.
-Improve the training of the computer virtualization research group of the AEI Wood and Furniture of AIDIMME and AMUEBLA in disruptive technologies within Industry 4.0.
