AIDIMME / Dissemination of projects / Details

"CONSTRUCTION 4.0"

CONSTRUCTION 4.0

DESCRIPTION

This project is part of an action coordinated by REDIT in which several technological institutes of the network participate. Within the framework of this initiative, in addition to participating in different joint dissemination actions, AIDIMME has developed 2 specific actions, one more focused on the field of construction materials, and the second linked to the industrialization of construction.

OBJECTIVES

Contribute to improving the competitiveness of the habitat and construction sector, through participation in joint actions led by REDIT, including the generation of content in the "ECOHABITAT" area of the REDIT website, and 2 specific actions developed exclusively by AIDIMME.

In the first of the actions, focused on materials, the objective is to develop a summary document clarifying the content of the Taxonomy Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2020/852 relating to the establishment of a framework to facilitate sustainable investments) applied to construction , focused on materials for rehabilitation work, highlighting:
• Scope: to whom it applies
• Requirements to meet
• Current state of the sector in relation to said Regulation
• Identification of weak points
• Improvement proposals through the use of green and energy efficient materials, for which descriptive sheets are provided.

In the second initiative, an analysis has been carried out of the application of additive manufacturing technologies as facilitators for the industrialization of construction 4.0, which is materialized in the development of scale demonstrator pilots.

Project Number: 22300061
Grant Agreement: 23-VISCHAB19-02-07-SO-0
Duration: From 01/03/2023 to 31/12/2023

Coordinated in AIDIMME by: PORTOLES GRIÑAN, LUIS
R&D Line: ADDITIVE MANUFACTURE

RESULTS OBTAINED

Year 2023: During the development of the project, a summary document has been prepared to clarify the content of the Taxonomy Regulations applied to construction, focused on materials for rehabilitation work, which is accompanied by 7 material sheets: green steel, recycled mortar, mortar alkaline or geopolymeric, recycled plastic, wood, cork and biomaterials. These sheets describe the characteristics, their environmental advantages and identify possible uses, with the aim of contributing to compliance with the Taxonomy Regulations in the construction sector.

Additionally, several scale demonstrator pilots have been developed that show different application options for additive manufacturing in the sector: complex joints, furniture and lighting, large on-site constructions and prefabricated urban furniture.
