OBJECTIVES

Study, evaluation and development of innovative additive manufacturing processes aimed at maximizing productivity for products and tools of high commitment.
Promote the participation of the center and companies in European and international projects.
Identification and analysis of the R&D lines of the center, through the analysis of information and participation in different committees, platforms and working groups.

RESULTS OBTAINED

Year 2020: Year 2020: The following results have been obtained: - Identification of the design rules for Multi Jet Fusion technology of polymers. These design rules affect both the pieces themselves (angles, hole diameters) and the design of the manufacturing trays (location and orientation of the pieces in the manufacturing volume) as well as the design of the joints between pieces that fit and pieces that come together to form long pieces. - Automation of the design of the trays to optimize the number of pieces that fit in a tray, ensuring that all the layers require similar energy. - Characterization of the behavior of the materials processed with the MJF under certain conditions such as high fluid pressure and ultraviolet light. - Identification of the regulations and certifications required by certain sectors in order to determine if the parts manufactured with these technologies meet the requirements established in them. - Identification of the specific design rules for the metal technologies acquired by AIDIMME and that make up the multi-laser cell. Different design rules are available for each of the metallic materials that are processed because the behavior of each material determines geometric limitations to be taken into account in the design of a product to reduce the amount of supports and guarantee quality. of the pieces. - Integration of a product presentation procedure through infographics highlighting the advantages provided by the adequacy of the design of a product to be manufactured with additive manufacturing technologies.
